ELIGIBILITY Open to all Ateneo de Manila Law School alumni, students, faculty, and their respective guests. Limited to amateur golfers only. 2. RULES OF PLAY Play shall be governed by the following: 2.1. The Rules of Golf as laid down by the USGA; 2.2. The local rules of Wack Wack Golf & Country Club as printed on its scorecards; 2.3. The tournament rules as specified in this handout, and; 2.4. Any announcement made prior to the start of the tournament. All questions arising from the conduct of play will be referred to the rules committee, whose decision is deemed final. 3. REGISTRATION 3.1. Pre-registered/paid participants will be given priority to slots allocated based on the submission of entry forms and date of payment. Field will be limited to one hundred twenty (120) participants. Walk-in participants will be entertained on a first come, first served basis and be subject to availability of slots. 3.3. On-course Registration opens at 7:30 am. 3.4. Players must complete the registration (on-course) procedure 15 minutes before their assigned course tee-times and must be on-deck and ready to tee-off at least 5 minutes before their scheduled flight. 3.5. Upon confirmation of payment, player may claim raffle & lunch ticket. The scorecard indicating the player's name, computed handicap, and designated starting hole will be issued at the course desk. 3.6. All participants are required to accomplish/submit the handicap confirmation slip to ascertain class assignment. 4. PAIRINGS SEQUENTIAL START (8:30 to 10:30 AM, Front & Back Nines) 4.1. Preferred tee-times and pairings for pre-registered/paid participants will be reserved and blocked off. 4.2. Player classification and the pairings sheet will be posted at the playing venue. Upon publication all processed information/data on entries and schedules will be strictly applied and enforced. 4.3. USGA Rule 6-3: Time of Starting and Groups a. Time of Starting - The player must start at the time established by the committee. NOTE: If the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time . . . the penalty for failure to start on time is . . . two strokes at the first hole. Penalty for lateness beyond five minutes is disqualification. b. Groups - The competitor must remain throughout the round in the group arranged by the committee, unless the committee authorizes or ratifies a change. Penalty for breach of Rule 6-3: Disqualification 5. INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION FORMAT / Tees Individual 18-hole stroke play. 5.1. All categories will be individual stoke play with handicap applied. 5.2. The field will be divided into the following categories: CATEGORY / Handicap range Class A / 0 – 14 Class B / 15 – 23 Class C / 24 – 30 Class D / 31 – 36 Seniors’ Open (60 years and over) / No handicap Women’s Open / No handicap Men’s Open / No handicap The tournament committee reserves the right to adjust the handicap range of each classification in order to divide the field equitably. 5.3. All players with no club certified handicap indexes will be categorized in the respective Open classes. 5.4. Men will tee-off from the blue tees and ladies will use the red tees. 6. HANDICAPS The FEBRUARY 2011 USGA computed handicap index will be used. 6.1. All participants are required to present their CLUB CERTIFIED HANDICAP INDEX CARD. 6.2. The slope rating of the West Course of Wack Wack Golf & Country Club will be used to convert all submitted handicap indexes. 6.3. Players with multiple club membership must declare their lowest handicap index. Failure to comply may merit disqualification without benefit of refund. 6.4. Maximum allowed handicap is 36. 6.5. The Open class will be for players with no valid index, or those who fail to submit a club certified index, and scoring shall be computed using the CALLAWAY SCORING SYSTEM. Ateneo Law Alumni from the same graduating batch 7.1.2. Members of the same Ateneo Law School organization 7.1.3. Members of the same law firm 7.1.2. Ateneo Law School faculty and administration 7.1.3. Current Ateneo Law Students 7.2. Only the top three (3) GROSS scores from each team shall be counted. The team with the lowest GROSS aggregate shall be declared the winner. 7.3. To qualify for the team competition, the team must be registered, and members declared, by 7:30 AM on the day of the tournament. 8. SCORING SCORECARDS Cross-scoring must be followed at all times. 8.1. Only gross scores must be reflected on the official scorecards preferably using ballpoint pens. 8.2. Players must sign their scorecard after ensuring that their marker has also signed the scorecard attesting to the correctness of the scores reflected therein. 8.3. Scorecards must be submitted within 15 minutes of holing-out otherwise the player's score will not count in the tournament. 8.4. Alterations/erasures in scores must be cleared/clarified before submission. All scores not legibly written will be subject to the committee's interpretation. 8.5. Caddies are not allowed to submit scorecards for players. 9. TIES Ties shall be settled by matching scorecards and determining the winner on the basis of total gross score in the back nine (holes #18 to #10). If still tied, the last six (6) holes, then the last three (3), and if still tied, counting backwards from hole #18. 10. TOURNAMENT FEE PHP3,500.00 per participant for Non Wack Wack Members PHP1,200.00 per participant for Wack Wack Members 10.1. The tournament fee includes the green fee, giveaway, awarding lunch buffet, and raffle ticket/stubs. 10.2. Caddy fee, golf cart, umbrella girl, and snacks/meals will be on a personal account basis. 11. AWARDS PRIZES Trophies will be awarded to the following: (TOTAL – 17 Trophies) CATEGORY / Winners OVERALL (Individual) / CHAMPION (Lowest Gross) Class A / Champion, 1st Runner-up Class B / Champion, 1st Runner-up Class C / Champion, 1st Runner-up Class D / Champion, 1st Runner-up Seniors’ Open / Champion, 1st Runner-up Women’s Open / Champion, 1st Runner-up Men’s Open / Champion, 1st Runner-up TEAM / Champion, 1st Runner-up 11.1. Special prizes await the winners of the longest drive, most accurate drive and nearest-the-pin competitions on selected holes. 12. HOLE-IN-ONE For sponsored hole-in-one prizes, the following rules will apply: 12.1. In case there is more than one winner for the same prize, the winners will divide the prize equally. 12.2. Any and all taxes required will be for the account of the winner(s). 13. AWARDING CEREMONIES VENUE: Westside Grill, Wack Wack Golf & Country Club (Registration for the awards ceremonies will open at 12:30 PM) 13.1.
